Music with Ms. Sonja

On Monday we had a special visitor her name is Ms. Sonja. She played her guitar, sang songs and did some music activities with the children. She will be coming every 2 weeks to teach the children new songs, get them up and dancing and having fun with instruments.

The first song we learned was called "froggy in my throaty".

We sang, danced, clapped and turned around.
She brought  bears for us to use while singing " Teddy bear Teddy bear turn around".

We used shakers to keep the beat.

We had so much fun, we cannot wait till she comes back again.

Halloween Party

The children dressed up in their Halloween costumes and some brought their parents along to enjoy the morning. Some of the costumes included: Bob the Builder, Queen of Hearts, pumpkin, Ninjas, dragon, Batman, Minnie Mouse, Princess, fireman, unicorn, a few super hero's and many more.

We did a few activities throughout the morning including a scavenger hunt, lacing the pumpkin, and Halloween headbands.

At the end of the morning we shared a neat story with the children and a really cool science experiment.

We mix together water, red flood colouring, baking soda, and dish soap and poured it into the bottom of the pumpkin. The children waited with anticipation as we poured in the vinegar....

Oh no the pumpkin ate to much Halloween candy....watch it explode!

Thank you to all the parents for bringing in the delicious snack we shared!
